Berkeley Soccer Association, in conjunction with the Fort Monmouth Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, is sponsoring a drive to collect items for Soldiers deployed in Iraq. Currently, we are supporting approximately 850 Soldiers; almost 70 of those are female Soldiers. (So please remember to contribute items for those female Soldiers.)
Any team or individual may contribute. Any contribution is appreciated. Your contributions will be collected, boxed and sent directly to the Solders that are deployed. Your contribution may be dropped off at any time during BSA’s Columbus Day Tournament at the Snack Stand at the Eastern Boulevard Soccer Complex.
The following is a list of specific items that Soldiers have requested.

In addition to these items, one thing that these Soldiers love receiving is letters. So, if you prefer you may have your child write a letter to “Any Soldier.” It doesn’t have to be a long letter; a short, sincere thought from a child goes a long way. No postage is necessary. Of course you may choose to do both - make a contribution and write a letter.
Items should be new; for food, and candy these items should not be expired.
