Ocean County Recreation League (OCRL) – Spring & Fall Seasons

Eligibility: Birth Years 2014–2019

Berkeley Soccer Association's OCRL program is open to children born between 2014 and 2019. The program runs for 10 weeks during both the Spring and Fall seasons. Games are held on Saturdays between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, though times may vary slightly depending on your coach.

Home games are played at the Eastern Soccer Complex, located at 560 Eastern Boulevard in Bayville. Away games may be scheduled anywhere in Ocean County, depending on the match-up.

Players are registered by birth year and placed into the appropriate age group. Each team must meet a minimum and maximum number of players to be formed. If there are not enough players in a particular age group, families will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative option if available.

Each team must have a volunteer coach. Becoming a parent coach is simple and does not require previous experience. If you’re interested, please click the “Volunteer” option during player registration. A BSA representative will contact you with more information.

Practice days and times are selected by the volunteer coach, and fields are assigned based on availability and field conditions. While we consider coach availability when scheduling, we do not offer refunds for practice schedule conflicts.

Once coaches receive their official team rosters, they will reach out to families to schedule a team meeting. During this meeting, they will go over the practice schedule, time, location, and other important details to help prepare for the upcoming season.

Head coaches are community and parent volunteers who generously donate their time. If you need a particular day or time for practices, volunteering to coach your child’s team is the best way to help secure a schedule that works for your family.

Typically, players stay on the same team from Fall to the following Spring if the coach returns and the player registers and pays on time. However, new teams may be formed each Fall based on registration numbers. Special requests such as preferred teammates, coaches, or practice days can be submitted at the time of registration, and while we do our best to accommodate them, we cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled.
