Berkeley Soccer Association would like to inform our families of an important structural change beginning with the 2026–2027 season.

US Youth Soccer and our governing leagues are officially transitioning to the August 1 – July 31 seasonal year format. This change aligns age groups more closely with school grade levels and creates a more consistent development pathway for our players.

As a result, some players may see adjustments to their age group placement for the 2026 - 2027 season.

Please know that BSA is diligently reviewing all team rosters to ensure proper placement, competitive balance, and the best developmental environment for every player. Our goal remains the same — to prioritize player growth, team chemistry, and long-term development.
