Work Bond and Volunteer Requirement
Berkeley Soccer Association is a volunteer-supported organization, and the participation of our families helps us provide the best possible experience for our players. One way families can help is by volunteering at our snack stand during weekend games, along with other opportunities offered throughout the season.
💵 $100 Work Bond
Each family with a registered player is required to submit a $100 work bond check, payable to Berkeley Soccer Association, each season.
Families are asked to complete 2 hours of volunteer service during the season. Once the required hours are completed, your work bond obligation is fulfilled and your check will be voided and securely destroyed by the club.
If the 2-hour volunteer requirement is not completed by the end of the season, the $100 work bond check will be deposited and the funds applied toward BSA's operating costs.
🍿 Volunteer Opportunities
Our snack stand during weekend games is one of the primary ways families can complete their volunteer hours while supporting our players, families, and visitors at the complex.
Additional volunteer opportunities may also be available throughout the season. Families should watch for emails and communications from BSA or their team's coach with information about available opportunities and sign-ups.
📋 Coaches & Team Volunteers
Coaches, team managers, and team treasurers are exempt from the work bond requirement, as the time they dedicate to their teams already fulfills their volunteer obligation.
Thank you for volunteering your time and supporting Berkeley Soccer Association. The involvement of our families plays an important role in keeping our programs running and creating a positive experience for all of our players. ⚽️
