This program is tailored specifically for players U8 and above who want a more competitive soccer experience. Our travel teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches who have taken the appropriate level coaching certification courses through New Jersey Youth Soccer, and guided by professional training resources provided by Wynning Touch SA. Travel teams are also required to have at least one session a week with a paid professional trainer, again, provided by Wynning Touch SA. Trainer fees for travel are not included in the registration part for BSA.

Travel teams will participate in league play through one of the many travel leagues, based on skill level, competitive ability and commitment level of the team, as always the goal is to place each team in a league and division where they can be challenged but not overwhelmed. All players need to experience some success along with some failure in order to grow and develop. Travel teams require more player commitment as schedules are often more involved than Recreational teams, and depending on the team, may involve tournament play outside the normal league schedule which is typically a 10 game fall season and 10 game spring season, depending on the league each team participates in.

All travel team placement requires a tryout or for add on players a mid year evaluation from the coach oe evaluator for appropriate team placement. BSA  club wide tryouts are held each Spring for the U8-U16 age groups for the following year teams. Tryout announcements are always placed on the homepage of our website. Mid-year evaluations can be scheduled for individual players looking for travel team spots provided a team in the appropriate age group has roster spot availability.
